Upcoming Fall Events for Shoot the Buffalo and Frances Johnson

Stacey Levine and I will be reading throughout the region below the 48th parallel this fall from our recently released Clear Cut novels. We will be performing alongside a number of excellent writers and musicians including Denis Johnson (at Trapdoor62 on 10/20) and The Watery Graves (at Elliott Bay on 10/27).

Also, Stacey’s novel (Frances Johnson) was recently reviewed in
The San Francisco Bay Guardian and my novel, Shoot the Buffalo, was reviewed in Publishers Weekly.

Using only words, a guitar, and a charcoal pencil, a panel of writers and artists will interpret the meaning of all your dreams. Before the panel, enjoy aperitifs and surreal conversation. (All attendees will also receive a dream to be interpreted at the door.) “Featuring dream interpreters Denis Johnson (yes, Denis Johnson who wrote Jesus’ Son…!), Stacey Levine, Saya Moriyasu, James Nugent, and me. Kary Wayson and Shannon Borg will provide a musical disruption. Anna Maria Hong will moderate the panel.
