Review in The Review of Contemporary Fiction

Species of Spaces Is great.

My recently published book of short stories, The End is the Beginning, has been reviewed by Eckhard Gerdes in the current issue of The Review Contemporary Fiction . It is great to have my work reviewed, well at all, but especially in this journal. I tend not keep copies of lit mags for very long, but along with an old copy of Conjunctions called “State of the Art” that is really more of an anthology of then, 2000?, contemporary fiction, I have also kept an issue of The Review of Contemporary Fiction edited by David Foster Wallace from sometime in the nineties. This issue even has a focus on Georges Perec. … Gerdes wrote about my book, “[These] stories are all about life out of kilter, told with charm from the perspective of the odd as norm, not so much magical realism as delightfully pernicious absurdity.”
